HOTMAIL(outlook)-GMAIL-YAHOO maill which is better

HOTMAIL(outlook):
this is the main mail service i personaly use but if you would ask me why i would said because this was my first i liked it an stayed.Although i have a lot of emails in another service,i choose to be with hotmail because the team and the guys working there are making a really good job and very often upgrades hotmail.the past year hotmail changed 1 or 2 looks.that's nice if you are bored easily.
Hotmail is also easy to use..no metter how many years or hours you are surfing the net with this email service you can send an email as fast you never thought you would. The junk folder contains all the spam emails.Hotmail has a very clever spam tracking system. Also you can very easily make folders and organise your emails(work-advertisments-family-etc...).

Pros

  • Outlook comes with solid and effective spam filtering and blocks phishing attempts
  • Snappy, flexible search, virtual folders, conversations and mail grouping help you organize mail
  • Outlook integrates email messages, to-do lists, scheduling and social networking updates well

Cons

  • Outlook is a bit confusing to set up and can be confusing to use with its myriad of options
  • You cannot create smart folders, flags or rules that learn by example
  • Outlook lacks useful message templates, and its RSS feed reader flexibility

GMAIL:

  • PROS
Speed. Minimal spam. Support for external e-mail readers. Conversation view that can be disabled.
  • CONSUnlovely though improving interface. No tabs. No preview pane. Puts some good mail in spam box. Scans your email text to serve targeted ads.
  • BOTTOM LINE
Gmail is fast, clean, and the recent redesign improves on its appearance. But it still lacks some useful tools found in competitors, has no preview pane, and privacy is an issue, so it won't appeal to everyone.

Right after you create a Gmail account, you'll get an e-mail from Google urging you to import your old e-mail accounts. You can import not only contacts, but actually read e-mail from other accounts like Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, and AIM Mail. The import can take hours or even days. When you reply from an imported account, the recipient will by default see the same e-mail address that they originally used to contact you, but you can change this in the From box's dropdown list.
  • Your contacts from the external account will also now drop down when you start entering an address in a mail you're composing. Interestingly, when I added a Hotmail account, another Gmail account that I'd hooked up to that now appeared in the new Gmail account. All the major services offer this type of mail forwarding, but in AIM Mail, Gmail, and Hotmail it's easier than in Yahoo Mail.
  • When it comes to file attachments, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, and AIM all share the 25MB limit, but only Hotmail offers a built-in solution to go far beyond this limit—up to 10GB in a free account—using its integrated SkyDrive online storage. When I tried attaching a 25MB video file Gmail simply displayed an error message, while Hotmail offered to let me upload the video to SkyDrive and include a link for the email recipient. Yahoo Mail allows "apps" or Web add-ins that offer a similar service to SkyDrive.
  • One of Gmail's comparative strengths is its ability to let you view account e-mail in other readers, including installed e-mail readers like Mozilla Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail. Gmail goes beyond Hotmail in offering the superior IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol). Yahoo Mail makes you pay $20 for a Plus account to get any outside access.

YAHOO:
Pros: The new interface has several items that can be customized. This is a great thing from my point of view because, it will keep the user on the site with the help of modules connected to other sites: Gmail, AOL Mail. So instead of having to check your Yahoo! Mail or Gmail account through their own addresses, now you can check your emails inside Yahoo!.

Cons:The downside of customization part is that there are only several sites that are integrated with the new interface. I was really surprised not to see Delicious among preferences and Twitter.

User Experience

This UX side of the site has been improved a lot. Now the left menu has noticeable visual feedback when you interact with it. Big blocks of the interface appear with a relative high contrast which make you responsive to the change. Good practices that will keep the user alert and interacting with the site.

Performance

Cons: The performance is something that bothers me with the new site. With all these customization and slick left menu, the performance took a hit. I’m quite confident that on slower machines, the site will not work well. But, I guess that with some patches and in time, the new interface will be fully optimized. For example, right now, not all the items from the left menu are part of a sprite image which is the right path.

Overall

I think this new redesign will make the visitors stay more on the site – increased time on site. Also, because of these customizable items, maybe the bounce rate will decrease and the number of visitors will rise – but this is still conditioned by the content. And as I said earlier – the site needs to improve its speed.
